I think that those choices are great. But I HIGHLY encourage you to try doing some more photos before the fair. It's still awhile away- so there's ample room for you photography genius to explode even more.
I really think you should try a portrait. There's an image I've been trying to draw out for a long time- and I think it would better be expressed in photography.

I think running with 'The Caterpiller' idea would be soooo cool! Like, Andrea and I could paint people or something & you could do really artistic portraits. Or paint one body part and emphasize that. You could totally go so so far with that! I'd be SO excited if you did that. It would stretch your photography so much further. You could even incorporate nature into it. But- please, please, please try portraits. Your style of photography is perfect for it.
